[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Atatürk’ün kadınlara seçme ve seçilme hakkı tanıdığı gün olan 5 Aralık dolayısıyla mesaj yayımlayan Sağlık Turizmi Konseyi Başkanı Ahmet Savaşan, kadınların hakları konusunda dünya aydınlarının ve Birleşmiş Milletler Örgütü’nün yaymaya çalıştığı kadın hakları ile ilgili adımların bir asıra yakın zaman önce Atatürk tarafından atıldığını vurguladı.
Stating that the granting of the right to vote and be elected to women on December 5, 1934, 83 years ago today, is one of the most important revolutions of the great Atatürk, Ahmet Savaşan said that the basis of this revolution was the Civil Code, which came into force in 1926 and liberated Turkish women from their chains.
A social society where women are not active is paralyzed...
Ahmet Savaşan, the great Atatürk said in February 1923, nine months before the proclamation of the Republic: ’The reason for the failure of our social society is the indifference we show towards our women. To live means activity. Therefore, if one organ of a social society is active while another organ is not functioning, that social society is paralyzed“ and on March 30, 1923 in Vakit Newspaper: ”Human society is composed of two types of people, men and women. Is it possible to advance one part of this mass and neglect the other so that the whole mass can advance? Is it possible that as long as half of a body remains attached to the earth, the other half can rise to the skies?’ He emphasized that his statement is a very important determination that reveals the necessity of gender equality, which the world is still pursuing today.
The position of women must be further strengthened...
Stating that various steps have been taken in our country, especially in the upcoming parliamentary elections, in order to ensure gender equality and for women to benefit fully and effectively from equal opportunities, Ahmet Savaşan pointed out that the main goal should be to further strengthen the social position of our women and girls. At the end of his message, Savaşan said “Happy Women's Suffrage Day, which is the greatest gift to her and to life with its value, power and freedom in all areas of life.”[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
